Halle Berry already has a reputation as a brave woman, but her latest film role calls for major guts.
The daring Hollywood actress is filming “Dark Tide” off the coast of South Africa, where she will be getting up close and personal with some great white sharks, Sky Showbiz reported Monday.
It is her first movie project since giving birth, but that does not mean she has an easy ride.
The film is set off Seal Island in False Bay, which is teeming with sharks hoping to catch some of the 64,000 seals that populate the island during breeding season.
Sitting on the edge of a boat in a bikini and wetsuit, the 43-year-old actress looked calm as she prepared to go down in a shark cage.
The movie was expected to take three months to film, and Berry’s former partner Gabriel Aubry also jetted out to South Africa to spend time with their daughter Nahla. The couple arrived in the country together last week.
