HERE’S a bombshell: Pamela Anderson says she’s retiring from show-biz.
“I don’t want to be an actress. I never did want to be an actress,” Anderson, 36, told “E! News Live” last night.
“I have retired.”
Anderson, the buxom “Baywatch” star who voices the lead character in Spike TV’s cartoon series “Stripperella,” said she wants to devote more time to her two young sons, Brandon, 7, and Dylan, 6.
The boys are a product of Anderson’s marriage to ex-husband Tommy Lee – and Anderson says no one should be surprised at her decision to retire and focus on their upbringing.
“I always said that when [her sons] started going to school, like kindergarten and first grade, which they are right now, that I wouldn’t do a series or any more movies or anything like that,” she said.
“I really wanted to be home for them, and I wanted to be able to pick them up from schools and bring them to their things.”
If Anderson really is retiring, it’ll be big news to the producers of “Stripperella,” including its creator, Stan Lee. Sources said Spike is moving ahead with the show, now in its first season.
“Since I’ve said I retired, I’ve had so many people come up to me about movies and things like that,” she said. “I’m not interested in a TV show – that takes too much time.”
Anderson spoke to E! while she was in Las Vegas at the Magic fashion convention at Sands Expo, where she was hyping her new clothing line.
Anderson, who started her TV career as the “Tool Time” girl on “Home Improvement,” also starred for four seasons in the syndicated series “VIP.”
After divorcing Lee, Anderson announced she was suffering from Hepatitis C, a potentially fatal liver disease.
Anderson claimed she contracted the disease through sharing a tattoo needle with Lee.
“I’m actually very healthy – every time I get my liver tested, it’s healthier and healthier,” she told E!
The second part of Anderson’s interview airs tonight at 7 on E!
Lee, who recently broke up with rocker Kid Rock, writes a column for Jane magazine, is heavily involved with PETA and is working on two books for Simon & Schuster.
“For the most part she’s entering another phase of her life, and that’s focusing on her clothing line and dedicating her time to raising her two boys,” Anderson’s rep told The Post.
