LET the Nick and Jessica jokes begin:

Singer Nick Lachey is close to signing to star in a new sitcom called – get this – “She Said, He Said.”

The series would be for the CW network, the new network created by the merger last month of UPN and The WB.

Not much information is available on the new series – only that it’s about “how men and women often have different perceptions of the same situation,” according to a trade report.

Lachey was supposed to be in another show next year, about a a newly married pro ball player. But that series died when the networks merged.
