Marc Anthony will be joining wife Jennifer Lopez as a series regular on TV.

Anthony, who played Det. Nick Renata on TNT’s “HawthoRNe” for two episodes last season, will reprise the role on a full-time basis in Season 3, which premieres in June with star Jada Pinkett Smith as chief nursing officer Christina Hawthorne.

Last season, Renata and Hawthorne bonded when Det. Renata investigated two criminal cases involving James River Hospital (Hawthorne’s employer).

“HawthoRNe” averaged 3.7 million viewers last season and performed strongly among women.

Anthony has appeared in several movies, including “Bringing Out the Dead” and “Man on Fire” and co-starred opposite Lopez in the biopic “El Cantante.”

Lopez, of course, is in her first season as a judge on “American Idol.”
