ASHLEY Judd would rather play Maggie the Cat than Catwoman.

The actress passed up the chance to star in another Batman sequel to make her Broadway debut this fall in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.”

Judd had landed the role two years ago, but while Warner Bros. studio scrambled for a script, the actress signed up for the Tennessee Williams revival instead, Variety reports.

The filmmakers have since turned their sights to Nicole Kidman, whose turn as Virginia Woolf in “The Hours” is up for an Oscar.

Kidman has been to Batman land before: Her character romanced Val Kilmer’s Bruce Wayne in “Batman Forever.”
