Today
Shake it up: Shake off the stir-crazies when Grammy-nominated band Milkshake returns to Symphony Space to perform hits from its latest CD, “Great Day,” plus a few love songs to get you in the Valentine’s spirit. 11 a.m., $13 to $27. 2537 Broadway, at 95th Street; 212-864-5400.
Snow job: The NYC Parks Department hosts Winter Jam NYC, designed to encourage New Yorkers to get out of the house for some outdoor action during the colder months. There will be free skiing and snowboarding lessons (equipment provided), opportunities to cross-country ski and snowshoe, a snowboarding competition and more. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., free. At Prospect Park’s Nethermead; enter the park at Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Road, Brooklyn; nycgovparks.org.
Tomorrow
Mo’ moey: Known for catchy, upbeat tunes and plenty of sparkly props, Moey’s Music Parties (above) are a great way to tire tots out. This week’s “Snowy Moey Concert” practically guarantees an afternoon nap. 10 to 11 a.m., $12 to $16. The JCC in Manhattan, 334 Amsterdam Ave., near 76th Street; 646-505-5708.
The smallest one: Thanks to John Bemelmans Marciano, grandson of original “Madeline” author Ludwig Bemelmans, the feisty, pint-size Parisian is starring in a new story, “Madeline at the White House.” Get your copy signed and meet Marciano when he reads at BookCourt in Brooklyn. 11 a.m., free. 163 Court St., between Pacific and Dean streets; 718-875-3677.
Kiddie ditties: With one of the more clever names for an all-girl rock band we’ve heard in a while, the Itty Biddies will bring the noise for 45 minutes (just long enough!) at Abrons Arts Center as part of the CarnegieKids series. 3 p.m., free. 466 Grand St., between Broome and Pitt streets; 212-598-0400.
