NBC is delaying the launch of its startup Esquire Network.

The niche cable network, which will replace G4, was originally slated to premiere April 22.

But NBC announced yesterday it won’t bow until the summer, when it will be able to air a slate of original programming, including Anthony Bourdain’s travel series, “The Getaway” and a cooking competition show called “Knife Fight,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“We have an opportunity to launch with more original programming than we had envisioned,” the network’s GM, Adam Stotsky, said in a statement.

“In order to give our viewers a more substantial program offering . . . we are pushing our rebrand to the summer.”

G4, will continue airing its regular schedule until then.
