Harry Styles is “devastated” over the tragic death of his longtime friend and former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.

“His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it,” the “As It Was” singer, 30, said via Instagram Thursday.

Styles and Payne formed One Direction along with Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.

The group was created while competing on the UK-based singing competition show “The X Factor” in 2010, and catapulted into stardom, becoming one of the biggest boy bands of all time.

They released hit singles such as “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Best Song Ever” and “Story of My Life.”

In the wake of his shocking death on Wednesday, Liam Payne’s last single, “Teardrops,” will be giving you just that.

The former One Direction member released the track in February, months before he died in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Oct. 16.

“Teardrops are falling down your face again/‘Cause I don’t know how to love you/When I am broken too,” a pained Payne sings in the chorus.

Admitting that “I could be the problem,” he expresses his regret: “I’m hating on myself ’cause I hate it when I make you cry.”

Zayn Malik has spoken out for the first time after Liam Payne’s tragic death at 31.  

On Thursday, the singer, 31, shared a heartbreaking photo of himself and Payne appearing to cuddle while sleeping on a tour bus.

“Love you bro,” he wrote, with a heart emoji.

On a second slide, Malik continued, “Liam, I have found myself talking out loud to you, hoping you can hear me, I can’t help but think selfishly that there were so many more conversations for us to have in our lives.”

Former boy band One Direction has released a joint statement following Liam Payne’s tragic death at 31.  

“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing,” Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson wrote in a statement shared to Instagram Thursday. “In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.”

Louis Tomlinson has addressed Liam Payne’s death in a touching tribute posted hours after the latter fatally fell from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Argentina.

Tomlinson, 32, took to Instagram on Thursday to break his silence on his former One Direction bandmate’s sudden passing.

“I am beyond devastated to be writing this but yesterday I lost a brother. Liam was somebody I looked up to everyday, such a positive, funny, and kind soul,” he wrote.

Tomlinson said he was “instantly amazed” by Payne’s voice, adding, “but more importantly as time went on I got a chance to see the kind brother I’d longed all my life for.”

In a newly-shared video filmed earlier this month, Liam Payne was captured mingling with fans in Argentina and speaking in Spanish shortly before his tragic death at age 31.

Payne, who died Wednesday, could be seen also singing in Spanish to the fans and signing autographs with a big smile on his face.

In a Tumblr post, pop singer Halsey wrote about her grief following Liam Payne's death, as someone who loved his music.

"I loved one direction with an all-consuming force when i was younger. it hurts deeply to mourn someone you were a massive fan of as teenager, and became a peer of as an adult," she wrote.

Halsey acknowledged fans struggling in the wake of the former boy-bander's sudden passing, writing, "grief is unsure or complicated when it's attached to a fond memory or the feeling a person gave you and not tangibly the person themself."

The "Without Me" songstress also revealed she bought a house from Payne not long ago.

"A few years ago i purchased a home that Liam previously owned," she wrote. "there were rumors the house was haunted. He assured me it was not, and i believed him. because i know the ghosts that haunt us aren’t tethered to buildings. They live in parts of us that are harder to reach and they go wherever we do."

The father of former One Direction star Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, said his daughter is heartbroken by the sudden, tragic death of her pop star boyfriend.

“She’s grieving,” he told a Post reporter Thursday morning from the front door of their family home in Harrington Park, a leafy suburb in northeast New Jersey.

“I’ve been up all night,” he said, the emotion of the day clearly registering on his face.

He said his daughter Kate, 25, whom he called Kaitlin, wasn’t at home.
