MAD ‘DOG’ RATINGS
A dog show is threatening to upset one of our biggest holiday habits – football on Thanksgiving.
“The National Dog Show” – which has been on TV for just three years now – drew a staggering 20.6 million total viewers on NBC Thanksgiving Day.
That means they outdrew the traditional post-turkey National Football League games that have dominated holiday TV for more than a quarter century.
“The TV Special is now a tradition, too,” said Jon Miller, an NBC senior vice president.
