Absence of Malick, cont’d
Terrence Malick’s long-awaited “Tree of Life” (it was originally due last year) probably won’t be ready until next year’s Cannes Film Festival, writes Todd McCarthy while recounting his experiences on the selection committee for the New York Film Festival. But Anne Thompson says no, her sources tell her the decades-spanning Brad Pitt/Sean Penn family drama (perhaps including a dinosaur scene) is being prepped for release (it’s reportedly three hours long as present) by the end of the 2010. Don’t hold your breath.
