Fans of Asian cinema (and who isn’t one?) are counting the seconds before this year’s New York Asian Film Festival kicks off June 19 at the IFC Center. Just to whet your appetite, here’s one of the 41 features that will unreel at the IFC Center and the Japan Society before the popular fest wraps July 5: “Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl.”

It is co-directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura, who gave us the wild and crazy “Tokyo Gore Police” last year. Word is the new film makes “Tokyo Gore Police” look tame, if such a thing is possible.
