I’m happy to report that Walt Disney’s labor of love “Bambi” has arrived on Blu-Ray. (I’d be even happier if Disney would send me a copy). A look at the backstory behind the movie, which lost a lot of money on its initial release but, like all of the other Disney classics, built up its reputation by being re-released every seven years or so for new generations. My two-year-old has just started on the Disney oeuvre, with daily screenings of “Toy Story,” but I don’t think she’s up for “Bambi” yet. Come to think of it, I’m not sure she’s up for “Toy Story 2” or 3.
