He’s only been at it for for a couple of days, but 170 (and counting) readers posted comments on the Variety editor’s new blog after he claimed “people I trust” have seen the flick — minus three scenes that Tom Cruise has yet to shoot — and call it a “superb thriller.” The vast majority of Bart’s commentors aren’t buying this at all, roundly ridiculing Cruise and the movie, many in mock German accents. Take a look; it doesn’t appear anybody is moderating the comments, including one from “Adolf Hitler.” With friends like Bart, MGM and Cruise may not need enemies.
