We like this clever poster much more than anything else about the lame Sandra Bullock thriller “Premonition” (which has inched up to 6 per cent favorable ratings at Rotten Tomatoes thanks to contrarians like the Village Voice’s Nathan Lee), one of three feeble new movies opening in wide release today. Box Office Guru Gitesh Pandya (and pretty much everyone else) thinks the marketplace will continue to be dominated by holdovers “300” and “Wild Hogs.” Gitesh has “300” dropping 55 per cent — not unusual for a highly anticipated event movie — to $32 million, and “Wild Hogs” greasing up another $19 million. He projects “Premonition” in the place position with $17 million, followed by Chris Rock’s appalling comedy “I Think I Love My Wife” (19 percent favorable at RT) at $9 million and the Donnie Wahlberg/talking dummy horror movie “Dead Silence” with a quiet $6 million. The latter wasn’t screened in advance for critics; Kyle will head out to a theater as soon as we finish pulling those spears out of his chest and his verdict will appear tomorrow.
