Maybe Viacom’s Paramount Pictures should have named their latest film “Ben-Hurt.”

The remake of the 1959 classic that opened on Friday — with a budget of $100 million — is expected to sell just $13 million worth of tickets this weekend, according to Box Office Mojo.

“Ben-Hur,” made in conjunction with MGM, will likely wind up being another dog in an overall disappointing summer movie season, according to industry insiders.
