What, did they confuse the Queen City with Queens?

A long-awaited biopic about notorious Big Apple mobster John Gotti is set to start filming in far-off Cincinnati — not New York City — on July 25.

Production of “The Life and Death of John Gotti,” which stars John Travolta, is finally underway after years of false starts. The big-screen biopic is being produced by Beverly Hills-based production company Emmett/Furla Oasis Films, in association with Fiore Films.

Travolta’s real-life wife, Kelly Preston, is set to play Gotti’s spouse, Victoria, and “Entourage” actor Kevin Connolly will direct.

The Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Film Commission says the film’s creators are benefiting from Ohio’s revised Motion Picture Tax Credit, which reimburses out-of-state movie produces for some expenses.
