It isn’t unusual for Hollywood to remake Asian movies, but here’s a switch. Rumor on the Internet has it that Zhang Yimou, the revered Chinese filmmaker who made Gong Li a superstar (and a bedmate) with “Raise the Red Lantern” and other movies, is going to redo the Coen brothers’ 1984 twisty noir homage “Blood Simple.” So far, there’s no confirmation, but the idea is tantalizing.
