The “Star Trek” reboot generated an estimated $76.5 million in ticket sales for its first 3 1/2 days, Paramount said yesterday. “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” which opened to $85M a week ago, plummeted 68 percent to an estimated $27 for its second weekend — almost an identical drop, percentagewise, to “X-Men: The Last Stand,” which had no major competition during its second weekend.
