“Blonde Ambition,” a Jessica Simpson comedy with Luke Wilson that’s receiving a vanity release at 8 Texas theaters in advance of its being dumped on DVD on Jan. 22, grossed a total of just $348 on Friday, reports Steve Mason of Fantasy Moguls. That’s a total of 6 tickets sold per theater and Steve is projecting a three-day total of $1,190 — possibly the worst opening-gross ever for a movie opening at several locations. Simpson’s “acting,” of course, makes Paris Hilton look like Meryl Streep by comparison. But Mase think it’s more likely Simpson’s fellow Texans are angry because she showed up last week at a game where the latest of her numerous beaus, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo blew a game against the Philadelphia Eagles — and they fear his romance with the blonde nitwit could derail the Cowboys’ Super Bowl chances.
