The Jim Carrey comedy “Yes Man” will top the weekend grosses in North America, says Steve Mason of Big Hollywood, who is predicting $26.35 over three days. Carrey’s flick rates 36 percent at Rotten Tomatoes and gets 1.5 stars from Kyle Smith, Predicting to come in a close No. 2 is the abysmal Will Smith drama “Seven Pounds,” with Mase prognosticating $24.78 million. It’s the week’s worst-reviewed wide release, with just 30 percent positive reviews at RT and 1.5 stars from yours truly (my video review, above). Kyle gives 3 stars to the other wide opener, the animated “The Tale of Despereaux,” which rates 44 percent at RT. Mase predicts it will open at No.,3 with an unimpressive $15.19M.
