Judd Apatow‘s phallocentric dramedy “Funny People” will finish the weekend with a softish $22 million based on early Friday numbers, predicts Steve Mason. That’s at the lower end of expectations and roughly equal to the opening of Apatow’s first film, “The 40-Year Old Virgin” starring Steve Carrell four years ago. The difference is that Apatow’s new one has one of the biggest draws in comedy, Adam Sandler and a pricetag to match — reportedly $70 million.
