Add Werner Herzog’s update of Abel Ferrara‘s “Bad Lieutenant,” with Nicolas Cage succceding Harvey Keitel as the title character, to the list of titles that may be announced in one week by the Cannes Film Festival. Todd says fest programmers saw Ang Lee’s “Taking Woodstock” this week and immediately extended an invite to the docu-comedy starring Demetri Martin.
