Cannes: The Last of Ledger
Terry Gilliam’s‘s “The Imagnarium of Dr. Parnassus,” the last movie with the late Heath Ledger, bowed today at the Cannes Film Festival. Reviews in

are full of praise for Gilliam’s ingenuity in working around Ledger’s mid-shoot death — using Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law to complete Ledger’s role. But the notices are fairly lukewarm about fantasy itself, which is seeking U.S. distribution, reportedly with a hefty pricetag.
