There was plenty of “Happiness” at Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York last week, where writer/director Andy Truschinski held an exclusive private screening of his short film “The Root of Happiness.”

Among those gathered there to celebrate the film were Broadway sensation Jessie Mueller and Academy Award-nom­inated actress Amy Adams along with her husband, Darren Le Gallo.

Set in Queens, “The Root of Happiness” follows a couple who are desperate to escape their extreme family issues.
