No, Sean Connery will not be coming out of retirement to reprise his role as Indiana Jones’ father. In a statement posted to the official Indy website, Connery, who retired in 2005, says he thought “long and hard” about reprising the role he played in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” nearly 20 years ago, when he was approximately the age Harrison Ford is now. “I love working with Steven and George, and it goes without saying that it is an honor to have Harrison as my son. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun.” John Hurt in an unspecified role has joined the cast, which includes Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, Roy Winstone and hopefully the still not-officially-announced Karen Allen. Shooting begins June 25 in New Haven, Connecticut.
