Cuba si!
We can’t legally go to Cuba for the Havana Film Festival, but there’s nothing to keep us from the 11th Havana Film Festival New York, a showcase for Latin American cinema. It kicks off Friday and runs through April 23 at locations in Manhattan, Queens and The Bronx. The opener (7 p.m. Friday at the DGA Theater on West 57th Street) is Ernesto Daranas’ “Broken Gods” (2008), a love triangle set in the Cuban underworld. One of its stars, Silvia Aquila, is scheduled to be present for a Q&A. The complete list of films and venues can be found at hffny.com.
