AMC Theatres, which owns dozens of cinemas in New York state and across the country, is considering creating a “texting aisle” for viewers who just cannot live without texting on their cellphones while watching a movie, according to The Sunday Times of London.
Regal Entertainment and IMAX are also examining ways to allow audience members to text.
A spokesman for AMC said there’s no plan to implement the rule in the Big Apple yet.
