Major Hollywood stars may have earned Oscar nominations Thursday morning, but it was a cinematographer who stole the show.

Dick Pope received a nomination for his masterful work in “Mr. Turner,” but unexpectedly became one of the Oscar reveal’s biggest talking points when Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs accidentally mispronounced his name “Dick Poop.”

Naturally, “Dick Poop” quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.

Nevertheless, the studio behind “Mr. Turner” is brilliantly using the flub to its advantage, highlighting why Dick got nominated in the first place.
