It will cost you and your little princesses $15 apiece (plus an online service charge) to see Disney’s digital video version of the “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert,” which is showing for one week beginning on February 1. The only announced venue in the five boroughs is, oddly, Loews 84th Street, which typically shows more downscale flicks than the Lincoln Square. AMC Theatres announced that when tickets go on sale tomorrow for the flick, which will be presented in digital 3D, it will cost $15 “for all seats and all showtimes.” That includes, “while supplies last,” a free song download, “Hannah Montana computer wallpaper and a downloadable ‘ticket widget’ to purchase tickets to the special event” for advance purchasers. Like other chains, AMC regularly adds a $2 surcharge for digital 3D movies in Manhattan, currently totalling a maximum of $13.75, with screenings starting before noon discounted to $8, including the surcharge. But $15 will seem like a bargain to parents who have been getting grief about their inability to score ticket to Miley’s sold-out live performances. The $15 ticket price, by the way, applies to the entire country, even the many places where regular movie tickets still cost less than $8 and there are bargain matinees before six.
