I believe my pal Glenn Kenny was the first to point out former JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater’s resemblance to Stephen Stucker, who memorably played the out-of-control flight controller in “Airplane!” (1980) and sadly died six years later. Ironically, Slater’s outburst and chute escape took place just hours before “Airplane!” had a 30th-anniversary showing at the Walter Reade theater. Below, a hilarious clip reel.
