DreamWorks, which lately gave us the not-exactly-classic “Monsters vs. Aliens,” is hugely
of animated fare, with, not one, but two new Shrek movies (“Shrek Forever After” plus the prequel “Puss in Boots,” which sounds more promising) plus another “Madagascar” and another “Kung Fu Panda.”
Most intriguing title to me: “Oobermind,” starring the voices of Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey. “Downey will voice a supervillain who finds life a little dull after vanquishing good-guy rival Metro Man,” reports Variety, which adds that it’s pencilled in for Nov. 5, 2010. Wait, another sendup of superhero movies? Even though Ben Stiller‘s company is producing it, let’s hope it’s more like “The Incredibles” and than the hideous 1999 Stiller comedy “Mystery Men.”
