My esteemed colleague Kyle Smith puts on his political columnist hat and

in today’s Post about Winston Churchill, the subject of a new BBC biopic “Into the Storm: Churchill at War,” currently airing on HBO. In that project, he’s “excellently” played by character actor Brendan Gleeson. The legendary British prime minister also has a cameo appearance in Quentin Taranino‘s World War II opus “Inglourious Basterds.” He’s played by Australian actor Rod Taylor (pictured), who starred in “The TIme Machine” nearly half a century ago. One of my favorite Churchills is Dudley Field Malone a civil-rights and divorce lawyer turned actor who briefly portrayed Winnie’s pre-World War II exile from power in the notorious 1944 propaganda flick “Mission to Moscow,” in which he is seen talking up that great hero…Josef Stalin.
