“Juno,” the litte movie that’s looking more and more like it could pull a big upset at the Oscars, is expected to land in third place for the weekend based on early Friday projections from Steve Mason at Fantasy Moguls. Expanding again to 1,800 locations, “Juno” posted a fertile $7,974 per venue average. The only better averages were “There Will Be Blood,” averaging $21,324 at just two locations, and another Best Picture rival, “Atonement,” which re-enters the No. 10 spot with $5.11 million and $8,781 per as it expands to 583 locations, still a bit shy of wide release. As expected, “One Missed Call” will land in fifth place, but with a somewhat better than expected $13.52 over three days, Mase predicts.
