Extra time for ‘Lunch’
The Italian comedy “Mid-August Lunch” has done so well at the Film Forum box office that the downtown movie house is extending the run through April 13. Directed by and starring Gianni Di Gregorio, the film tells the delicious story of a middle-age man who lives in Rome with his aged mother and finds himself temporarily hosting three additional elderly women. I gave the film three stars (out of four) when it opened, noting that it will, at the very least, make you hungry for a home-cooked Italian meal.
