Sunday’s New York Times will contain a story by critic A.O. Scott in which he sings the praises of Greta Gerwig. It doesn’t mention that my Cine File column helped launch  her career  in August 2007, when I interviewed her about the mumblecore  movie “Hannah Takes the Stairs.” Since then I’ve written three other columns about Gerwig, including one on March 14, in which she talks about her new, crossover flick, “Greenberg,” with Ben Stiller.
