Should men have friends? A new A24 comedy investigates that very question.

Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd star in “Friendship,” which is now streaming on-demand on Prime Video.

The surreal dark comedy follows Craig Waterman (Robinson), a socially awkward loner who falls hard (in friendship-love) with his new neighbor, TV weatherman Austin (Rudd).

Austin is initially warm and welcoming, but Craig’s attempt to “make an adult male friend” quickly spirals into something much more dangerous, with the power to ruin both of their lives.

“Friendship” is a lot more than it seems to be on the surface, and it’s a perfect post-Father’s Day watch for fans of Robinson’s particular brand of cringe comedy.

‘Friendship’ streaming date:

“Friendship” is streaming on-demand now! “Friendship” was released on digital platforms like Prime Video on June 17.

How to watch ‘Friendship’ on Prime Video:

“Friendship” is available for digital purchase on Prime Video. The film costs $24.99 to buy or $19.99 to rent — still significantly less than it may cost for a family to go out to the movies to watch it.

While you won’t have to be a paid Amazon Prime member to buy “Friendship,” you will need at least a free Amazon account; that way, you can return to watch the movie whenever you want to.

Video-on-demand rentals are good for 30 days, but expire 48 hours after you first hit play on a rented title.

You might recognize supporting “Friendship” cast members from shows and movies like “It,” “The Other Two,” and “I Think You Should Leave.”
