Hungary for movies
Films by Hungarian Bela Tarr separate the cineaste from the casual moviegoers. Tarr’s films are minimal, metaphysical and sloooow. Not exactly mall-friendly. But Tarr has loyal fans, who undoubtedly will fill Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. when their hero’s “The Man From London” (2007) unreels. Based on a novel by Georges Simenon, it concerns the moral dilemma faced by a railroad switchman who witnesses a murder, then discovers a cache of cash. Tilda Swinton stars. Details: www.filmlinc.com
