In its annual survey of more than 80 prognosticators, Oscar Central reports that yours truly made out better than anyone else. I was the only one to pick the winners in 19 out of 24 categories, a 79 percent accuracy record. Nobody else got better than 18 — and that was very select group comprised of the Hollywood Reporter’s Anne Thompson, my buddy David Poland of Movie City News (who hosted my complete picks as one of the Gurus O’Gold), Erik Childress of eFilm Critic and Variety’s Oscar Tracker.
