Next weekend is the annual “It’s a Wonderful Life” festival in Seneca Falls, which draws people from all over the world to this small town in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. As I reported last year, there’s considerable debate over festival organizers’ belief that that Seneca Falls is the inspiration for Bedford Falls, the fictional locale of Frank Capra’s 1947 classic. There are certainly resemblances, including an iron bridge resembling the one that James Stewart jumps from in the movie.
