As if “Star Wars” fans needed another reason to get excited.
A week after Disney announced the release date for “Star Wars: Episode VII,” director J.J. Abram’s production company, Bad Robot, tweeted out the first production photo from the eagerly anticipated sequel.

The image shows the filmmaker standing next to Luke Skywalker’s beloved droid companion, R2D2, and is the first production photo that’s been released from the movie.
“Episode VII,” the first film in the series since 2005’s “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,” will arrive in theaters on December 18, 2015 – in other words only 763 more days to go.
