Lot of indignant discussion going on amongst the commenters at io9, upon the release of the first images of the American remake of the Swedish vampire movie “Let the Right One In.” Going for it (the general sentiment goes): the casting of Chloe Grace Moretz, a.k.a. Hit Girl. Going against it: just about everything else. Are people who refuse to go to the movies with subtitles because reading is just too challenging really going to get into this layered, subtle goth masterpiece? People did seem to like Moretz’s murderous side in “Kick Ass,” so… yeah. Maybe they are.
