As I predicted, Christian Bale’s Oscar-baiting turn in “The Fighter” won best supporting actor, beating the far more worthy Geoffrey Rush (“The King’s Speech”) as well as Michael Douglas (“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”), Andrew Garfield (“The Social Network”) and Jeremy Renner (“The Town”).
