Philip Berk, honcho of the scandal-ridden HFPA, tried to make a joke about Eva Longoria, who introduced him, going to someone else to qualify her next movie. To put it mildly, he’s no Ricky Gervais, who said he had to get Berk “off the toilet and pop in his teeth” for his shaky appearance. Hopefully, NBC will banish this joke of an award show from network TV next year.
