It doesn’t look like the NYFCC is going to follow the L.A. Film Critics Association in naming “Wall-E” as best picture. Instead, “Wall-E” scored a first-ballot victory for best animated picture, appearing on 17 ballots to 11 for “Waltz With Bashir” (the L.A. winner in this category) with three abstentions.
