Who thought it was a good idea to play “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” as Carey Mulligan and Zoe Saldana arrived onstage to present the short films awards? The French “Logorama” won in the animated category, a rare loss for Aardman’s Nick Park (“A Matter of Loaf and Death”). “Music by Prudence” won for documentary, and “The New Tenants” for live-action. I somehow got all three of these wrong, dropping my score to 4 for 7 so far.
