Kate Winslet won for best supporting actress — oops “Female Actor in a Supporting Role” — for her leading role performance as a Nazi pedophile in “The Reader,” which is nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars. This time Winslet, more composed than at the Golden Globes, thanked Harvey Weinstein. She’s also up in the lead category tonight for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” The losers in female support were Amy Adams and Viola Davis of “Doubt” and Taraji P. Henson of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” At the Oscars, Winslet is replaced in this category by Marisa Tomei of “The Wrestler,” who was not nominated by SAG. There are just four more movie awards stretched over the next 80 minutes at the SAG awards, which are mostly given for work in television.
