The latest Marvel movie beat all comers at the box office on its premiere night Friday.
“Morbius” — about a doctor who splices his DNA with a vampire, with predictable results — grossed $17.1 million in the U.S. on its opening night, according to IMDB’s Box Office Mojo database.
Action-adventure flick “The Lost City” followed with $4.3 million on Friday, and $44.1 million cumulatively.
