“Maturity” was certainly not the theme at last night’s MTV Movie Awards – aside from the hilarious
, we saw a naked Andy Samberg clambering across Justin Timberlake‘s lap, an award recipient (or was he?) humping his golden popcorn statuette and LeAnn Rimes, Chris Isaak and Forest Whitaker singing a
of Samberg’s musical shorts from “SNL” (who knew “J*** in My Pants” would go with sequins?) And, OK, most of the winners were
,
(who, adorably,
) or
. None of them were Dame
.
You know what this ceremony wasn’t? Boring. Maybe it’s time for next year’s Oscar writing team to cherry-pick a few young additions from the people who worked on this, because honestly, it was far and away a more entertaining night of television.
