After failing to win a richly deserved Oscar for either his glorious “Inglourious Basterds” screenplay or for his majestic direction of same (which, as far as I’m concerned, he should have won just for his indelible first opener in the French farmhouse and for his breathless, hilarious shock climax in the Paris movie theater), Quentin Tarantino is still managing to find work. Next up for him? Apparently he’ll be voicing “Brainy Smurf” in the upcoming Smurfs movie. Hey, the guy has worked blue for a long time, so is this really a surprise?
