Movie goers like to poke fun at Canada, but the nation to the north turns out  its share of interesting films. Each year, the Museum of Modern Art offers a selection of those movies.  The seventh  edition  opened Wednesday night with Emile Gaudreault’s “Father and Guns,” a French-language comedy thriller about father and son cops in Montreal. The screening was followed by a party at Aquavit. The program runs through March 22 and also includes the supernatural musical “Suck,” the documentary “Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist, and Rebel” and “Polytechnique,” which recounts a mass murder. The full schedule is at moma.org.
